#akmediaonline: Cristiano Ronaldo top target for Inter Miami David Beckham
England Legend David Beckham has reportedly started to make Cristiano Ronaldo top target for his newly formed club Inter Miami, Beckham unveil the club name and logo on his social media platform on Wednesday.
The new Florida based franchise due to begin official playing in 2020 and Daily Mail has reported ex-Manchester and ex-Real Madrid striker Cristiano Ronaldo is the number one target for Beckham Inter Miami.
Miami will be giving the Portuguese star the chance to end his playing career at the Stateside. Beckham’s attention will now focus on making several headline signings in order to help build the profile and raise awareness of his new venture and nobody would be capable of achieving those objectives quite like his Manchester United successor.
The 33-year-old signed a four-year deal with Juventus in the summer after completing a shock £99.2million move from Real Madrid. The Daily Mail reports any deal for Ronaldo would have to break the MLS transfer record, which currently stands at £11.05m after Atlanta United bought Argentine Ezequiel Barco back in January, but the commercial revenue the Portuguese could generate would make any deal worthwhile.
Beckham is also said to be considering a move for his former United teammate Wayne Rooney, who has made an impressive start to his D.C. United career, while he will also look to tap into the South American market given the Latin population in Florida.
